We love to take our guests to the Club Fields, Powder Hunter is based in Methven, New Zealand, right beside Mt Hutt, one of New Zealand's most popular ski resorts.
The areas we travel to/from include:
The Club Fields through Arthur's Pass, including Porters Pass and Castle Hill, to access, Porters ski area, Mt Cheeseman, Broken River ski area, Craigieburn Valley ski area and Temple Basin ski area.
Methven/Lake Coleridge to access Mt Hutt, Mt Olympus and your heliskiing/heliboarding adventure.
Fairlie/Tekapo to access Mt Dobson, Roundhill, Ohau and Fox Peak.
Queenstown/Wanaka to access Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Snow Farm, Cardrona and Treble Cone.
The Mt Cook Region to access your heliskiing/heliboarding adventure.

Canterbury
Mt Hutt is one of New Zealand's largest ski areas with some of the best natural snow and one of the longest vertical drops in the South Island.
A true backcountry feel with options for fresh powder, skinning and advanced terrain. To top it off they have a comfy lodge with hot tub!
The closest ski area to Christchurch, a short access road, fantastic learner slopes and a mountain of terrain for experts.
Mt Cheeseman is a friendly ski area that promotes a fun, family environment in an alpine setting and is open to the public. We are the closest club ski area to Christchurch, being just 90 minutes drive or approximately 99km.
Located in the heart of New Zealand's Southern Alps, where the ups are good, and the downs are even better. Steep narrow chutes, wide open powder bowls, uncrowded runs or just a place to take it easy in the awesome vista of the Craigieburn Range.
Described as a "hidden gem", Broken River Ski Area boasts some of New Zealand's best off-piste, soft-snow skiing and snowboarding. We offer fantastic terrain for all levels of skiers and boarders.
Temple Basin is an amazing ski and snowboarding area in the middle of the NZ’s Southern Alps, surrounded by the beauty of Arthur’s Pass National Park.
A ski area with a great balance of groomed trails and off piste for the more adventurous. There is a large area of developed trails and miles of fresh untracked snow.
Renowned for its friendly and uncrowded atmosphere, Fox Peak offers huge runs catering for skiers and boarders of all abilities.
Ski or snowboard in the heart of the South Island of New Zealand. Roundhill is a fantastic family ski field with breathtaking views of Akorai Mt Cook, the Southern Alps and Lake Tekapo.
The mountain caters for all abilities. The double chair lift and the wide flat slopes at the top of the mountain enables most intermediates to cruise down the Boulevard very comfortably.
Queenstown/Wanaka
Ski New Zealand at Treble Cone Ski Area, the South Island’s largest ski and snowboard resort, featuring the longest vertical of all Wanaka and Queenstown ski fields.
Snow Farm is the place to come for a great selection of winter activities. Our Snow Fun Zone is popular with families looking to tube, sled, build snowmen and have a snowball fight in a safe and easily accessible area.
